Al-Anon of Rhode Island

The Monday night meetings are for Adult Children of Alcoholics, but anyone in need of Al-Anon may attend.  All groups are Al-Anon before they are anything else.  The name of the Monday night meeting is Joy Beckons Al-Anon Adult Children.

The Saturday morning meeting is a regular Al-Anon discussion group.  The third meeting of each month is dedicated to an Al-Anon Step or a Tradition.  The name of the Saturday meeting is Loving Hearts Al-Anon.

Both groups run for an hour and a half and take a ten minute break halfway through.

There are no dues or fees, but we do pass the hat.

Beyond Our Walls

BOW, a non-profit established in 2004, was created as an interfaith group to do good for the local community and beyond.  BOW members include people from various faith traditions as well as individuals with no religious affiliation.  Anyone with a willingness to share their knowledge, energy and creative talents and a desire to better humanity as a whole is welcome to join us.  BOW members come from all walks of life - working people, retired people, stay-at-home-moms, students, single people and more.  They all have one common goal - community betterment.

Boy Scouts of America

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

For nearly a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through nearly a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

Camp Calumet

In the foothills of the White Mountains of New Hampshire, nestled on the shores of Lake Ossipee, Calumet Lutheran Camp and Conference Center is the outdoor ministry center of the New England Synod's 200 congregations and missions across the six New England states -- offering year round programming, hospitality, and fun for all ages since 1960. Calumet is affiliated with the ELCA.

Davey & Goliath

Davey and Goliath was a childrens' television series produced by the Lutheran Church in the 1950s and 1960s and televised widely across the United States,  the Caribbean and around the world. Although Davey has not appeared on broadcast television for nearly 35 years, it still is remembered as a pop culture "icon" with continued television and film mentions.
